We didn’t evolve from monkeys, but monkeys and humans do share a common ancestor. Just like how chihuahuas didn’t descend from great danes, but trace it back far enough and there’s a wolf-dog-thing that they’re both related to.
I’m sorry but anyone who says “if humans evolved from monkeys, why are there still monkeys, really needs to learn how evolution really works.” Thats like saying “If children become adults, why are there still children?”
lol sorry-i just needed to rant about evolution a bit. (im such a nerd)
No one is born with the knowledge of evolution. If no one has ever told them how it works, if they’ve grown up in a place where their only introduction to evolution is this picture.
Then not everyone is going to understand it. And if no one takes the time to explain to them how it works, then they don’t know that what they know is wrong.
If you don’t know something exists then it’s very difficult to research it. If you ask a question, and half the people go “Evolution is wrong because monkeys” and the other half go “You’re a moron because monkeys.” then gee, which side of the argument’s giving an explanation here, and why do you think people might be tempted to side with said explanation?
Sometimes people asking a question is as simple as them want to know the answer. Telling them off for not knowing is just going to discourage them from asking again next time.
Rare take screen shots from Pretty in pink.
Molly Ringwald was particularly nervous about the kiss scene as she had never had to initiate a kiss before, it took several takes to get the right angle it became one of the most memorable scenes in the film.
There was said to be real chemistry between Molly Ringwald and Andrew McCarthy on set which made their high school romance more believable.

Never forget that you are the protagonist of your own story
and the antagonist of someone else’s!
And a possible love interest in some other peoples! 0u0
This might just be the single most inspiration thing I have ever seen on the internet.
You are also a supporting character to a lots of people’s stories. You might even be the kind stranger who unintentionally turns someone’s life around for the better.
